Michigan Buick Dealership raffles free hybrid.
Starstorm GM, a Michigan Buick Dealership raffled off a 2009 GMC Sierra Hybrid Pickup Truck earlier this week. Peter Brown from Alma Michigan was the lucky recipient of the award.
The 2009 GMC Sienna Hybrid can tow 6,100 pounds and still deliver 21 mpg (city) / 22 mpg (highway)
22 Miles per gallon may not seem like much to most of our regular readers but when you consider the fact that the regular gas version of this vehicle only gets around 14 mpg and thousands of Americans use their truck for work hauling large loads the savings are substantial.
Peter is a contractor and can put his Alma Michigan GMC to good use delivering construction materials to and from his job-sites located in Harrison and Ithaca Michigan.
The GMG Hybrid trucks fit a 1.8-kilowatt-hour battery pack below the rear seat, while the Two-Mode Hybrid transmission replaces the standard truck automatic. GM engineers designed a special hydraulic bushing to attach the cab to the frame, damping new vibrations created by adding the 300-pound battery pack.
If you need a full-size pickup truck, but want to use as little gasoline as possible, GM has built what may be the roughest, toughest hybrid on the planet.
Starstorm GM says they are happy to help out local residents every now and then by raffling off a car. The publicity generated more than covers the price of the vehicle say Bob Harrison owner of this Michigan used car dealer
